Carbon neutrality

We believe in the shared commitment and engagement of all companies for a more sustainable, inclusive and zero (net) emissions world.

NET-ZERO STRATEGY

Integrated consultancy for the definition and implementation of carbon neutrality strategies: mapping of emissions, reduction strategies, compensation of residual emissions.

Kickster has developed a modular consultancy service that allows the implementation of an emissions reduction plan, defining measurable and achievable decarbonization goals with a concrete and integrated strategy, in accordance with the Paris Agreement climate objectives.

TO WHOM IT ADDRESSED?

The service is suitable for all companies, regardless of size or sector, interested in establishing a decarbonization plan to reduce emissions and to define a net-zero pathway, in line with the climate neutrality European goals. Furthermore, the service can integrate TCFD recomendations.

DELIVERABLE

For each planned step, Kickster delivers reports and shares them with the client.
In particular, three separate reports are provided:

  • GHG Emissions Inventory Report
  • Environmental Sustainability Policy
  • Decarbonization Strategy and Plan
ACTIVITIES

The consultancy activities include:

  • emission accounting, in coherence with GHG Protocol/ISO standards, through data collection on a cloud platform,
  • high-level environmental policy definition,
  • emission reduction strategy in line with climate and scientific scenarios, and evaluation of compensation of Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions.
  • We support companies in joining initiatives with scientific objectives to reduce their carbon footprint (Science Based Target Initiative, SBTi)

In particular, the consulting activity is developed in steps:
STEP 1 – EMISSIONS ACCOUNTING
Company emissions, both direct and indirect, are calculated and collected in a cloud-based software in accordance with the GHG Protocol/ISO standards. Key performance indicators (KPIs) are established for monitoring and for sustainability reporting (also in compliance with CSRD – Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive requirements).
STEP 2 – ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY DEFINITION
The high-level Environmental Policy is defined after conducting a gap analysis (sector-specific) and benchmarking against peers. The policy should be also coherent with the medium-long term strategy of the company, and it will represent the strategic guidelines for the development of the decarbonization plan.
STEP 3 – STRATEGY DEFINITION AND DECARBONIZATION PLAN
Based on the analysis of the emissions accounting science-based targets are set, considering scenarios and custom-specific possibilities for reducing direct and indirect emission. The decarbonization strategy will be defined, in line with economic and energy scenarios and in accordance with the Industrial Plan.
