PARIS AGREEMENT ALIGNMENT READINESSis suitable for all those companies that have already defined a decarbonization plan and have the need to evaluate it according to scientific data and sectoral trajectories and pathway. The alignment assessment includes both emission reduction (absolute and/or emission intensity) and reliability criteria of the plan, in order to evaluate its adequacy with respect to international best practices and regulatory trends.

Each company subjected to the evaluation will be able to demonstrate to its stakeholders the consistency of its decarbonization strategy in the context of the Paris Agreements and carbon-neutrality goals, according to an objective analysis and a unique and homogeneous methodology.

he methodology used to assess on the alignment to the Paris Agreement goals was developed by Kickster and includes quantitative and qualitative criteria in order to evaluate the overall credibility of the plan.
The analysis and the assessment on the alignment of corporate decarbonization objectives to Paris Agreement ones takes into consideration:
– climate risks (adaptation and mitigation);
– emission reduction policies (absolute and intensity) and performance management;
– emissions compensation activities, considering only technological carbon removals.

Once the analysis has been performed, Kickster delivers an independent and impartial opinion on the alignment to the Paris Agreements, based on objective and measurable data (emission reduction and decarbonization pathway) and formulates an overall opinion on the credibility of the plan itself.
